
My son's preschool teacher Miss Bonnie recently shared that she tried making Hummus using Homemade Gourmet Garlic Lemon Seasoning. She commented that it was sooo easy and very yummy. She also created a delicious marinade for her boneless chicken with EVOO and Garlic Lemon Seasoning - it baked to perfection!

Here's the recipe for Heart Healthy Hummus
2 15 oz. cans chickpese, drained and rinsed
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
juice of 1 Lemon
1/4 cup water
3 Tablespoons HG Garlic Lemon Seasoning
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor. Blend on low speed until smooth, stopping often to scrape down the sides. If the mixture is too dry and not blending well, add a little more EVOO.
Serve with pita bread, pita chips or veggies.
Try using Hummus as a sandwich spread instead of high calorie/fat mayo. Complete the sandwich or wrap with grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato or deli meats.
